Grey Court Education Fund
The Grey Court Education fund is a vital resource that allows us to supplement learning opportunities for our students and other young people in the wider community. By boosting government support, these essential funds help us widen educational provision and enhance our physical environment.

Where your money goes
In recent years the education fund has raised resources to upgrade our buildings and facilities and purchase much needed additional equipment.
Due to generous contributions we have:
-
made improvements to the gym and changing rooms
-
upgraded computing, and design and technology facilities
-
purchased IT, music and sports equipment
-
refurbished the library and drama studio
-
landscaped the grounds and remodelled classrooms.
Future plans
All-weather sports facilities
An immediate priority for the education fund is to improve the quality of our sports pitches for students and local residents. Currently, our fields become water logged and are unusable for a month or so each football and rugby season.
Not only does this impede the physical wellbeing of our students, but it also makes a sizeable dent in the income we generate from renting the pitches to local clubs.
We are raising funds for all-weather pitches and are negotiating support from Richmond council, Surrey and Middlesex football associations, and local sports clubs. We hope to be able to improve access to playing fields for everyone in our community.
New classrooms
Our school is operating at capacity and is in need of additional classrooms. Pupil numbers in the main school have risen by 30% since 2015 and the sixth form has also experienced year on year growth. There is no space to allow for overspill or breakout-room learning.
Grey Court thrives on meeting the needs of all our students, which often means supporting smaller group learning, for which we need additional space. We rely on donations to the education fund to continue delivering our ambitious curriculum needs.
Donating
We are grateful for all donations. The current suggested contribution for parents is £25 per month, per child, or £300 per year. For the majority of donors, ticking the gift aid box will enable us to claim a further 25 pence per £1 back in tax. Please note that this only applies to UK tax payers.
