International trips
We run a number of international trips throughout the school year which are enormously popular with our students. Each trip combines curriculum based learning with opportunities for personal growth and development. Our students build resilience and independence, discover a love of travel and have fun with their peers outside the school environment.
We run regular trips to France, Spain and Germany, and bi-annual ski trips to Canada and European destinations. In recent years we have also taken students to the US, China, Hungary, Czechia and Switzerland.
From climbing the Great Wall to exploring the Forbidden City, the China trip was a wonderful experience that I will never forget.

Students practise their language skills, learn about the culture of some of the countries they have been studying, and are able to place themselves at the sites of some of Europe's major historical events.
Meanwhile, Health and Social Care trips to Hungary and Czechia provided opportunities to experience first hand the differences in health care provision for citizens in other European countries. And our young physicists are taken to Switzerland to witness the power of the hadron collider.
A number of places on these trips are subsidised by the school as we do not want students to miss out due to financial constraints. We firmly believe that international trips have a crucial role to play in the educational experience of our students.
The Berlin trip brought joy to my study of History.
