The Grey Court Curriculum

The Grey Court Curriculum aims to be an inspirational and aspirational curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse range of learners.

All children have a right to a broad, balanced and relevant education which provides continuity and progression and takes individual differences into consideration. Grey Court’s curriculum policy is underpinned by its commitment to deliver all five outcomes of Every Child Matters.

The school will always deliver its teaching on the basis of the worth of the individual within a culture that fosters respect for others and celebrates diversity. The school will always strive to offer students the opportunity to develop their talents to the maximum; to broaden and deepen their areas of interest; to furnish them with the skills to learn, not only whilst at the school, but throughout their lifetimes.

The school will ensure that every student has access to the National Curriculum along with as wide a range as possible of other experiences.

Our aim is to ensure that all students achieve the highest standards. The school will monitor all achievement and progress in conjunction with the requirements of the law and the policies of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (LA)

Student achievement will monitored by formal and informal procedures.. Our policy is underpinned by an appreciation of how race, class, gender, sexual orientation, size, religion, or the challenges of disability or disadvantage impact on learning and by a determination that none of these factors shall be a handicap to each child’s individual development.

Grey Court Curriculum Booklets

For each of our years our teaching staff have created a Curriculum Booklet. This booklet will give you key information about what our students learn across the year as well as providing them with a home learning timetable and other information about the school. It also provides parents with key contacts within the school who are responsible for the pastoral care for the year.
