Miss Corrighan, Head of Careers, works with a team to ensure careers is delivered to all students. She is a qualified Careers Adviser and sees students for individual careers interviews in school. She can give impartial information, advice and guidance (IAG) about colleges/6th forms, work, apprenticeships, university and your career ideas. To make an appointment with Miss Corrighan you can sign up by speaking to your form tutor, phase leader or student support officer or can email on firstname.lastname@example.org
Miss Holmes is the Careers Co-ordinator and Science Teacher and is responsible for STEM activities, KS3 careers, KS4 work experience and enterprise activities. Ms James is the PDW Co-ordinator and ensures careers is part of the PDW programme. Ms Andrews (LSA) supports students with KS4 work experience.
Start is an online careers platform, designed to connect 11-18 year olds with their future careers potential. This is replacing U-Explore (which we have previously used) and this will be used in PDW lessons. To log in go to https://www.startprofile.com/ and create your profile where you will rate your skills and qualities and also log any careers-related activities. It’s a great place to find out about future jobs and start to think about your future.
